Whitewashed

I seriously cannot recall the last time is was in the middle of blizzard this nuts.

Photo snapped just as the storm was starting in

Snapped this morning just after I woke up

Yep, that's snow gathered in the lower corner just inside the door. Snow was blowing so hard, it blew through the front seal without the door even being opened.

And it's not supposed to let up until this evening.

Just wow. Sounds like a good day for movies, hot chocolate, and a football game. For now, I must brew the morning coffee.

Joy.

We've already got basement flooding, and it's still not high tide yet!

I woke up to no electricity. PLEASE LET THERE BE ELECTRICITY COME GAME TIME.

Stay warm, James.

Yep, good ole Hull, one house from the water.

Ugh.

I've got enough blankets to stay warm. No promises on the sanity part.

Whoo Hoo! Only 7 more to tie last year's 36 incher!

Hello,

I came across your blog and I found it very interesting. I am compiling a book of blogs entitled, I Blog, Therefore I Am, and my staff would like to know if you would like to submit any of your work. We want a whole variety of young men and women from all over the world to have their most interesting, shocking, funny, provocative experiences published in our book.

Unfortunately, we are unable to pay our submitters or give them free copies. This is a non for profit book that is trying to portray the status of United States youth.

We are currently working on our website, www.bookofblogs.com. We expect to have our book out in stores before the holiday season 2005.

Rest assured your information will be anonymous. We will simply have the date, your nickname and your log.

If you are interested please email your selected logs to: bookofblogs@yahoo.com
Once our website is complete you can register and receive an email detailing when the book is due.

I thank you for your time,
Peter W.

News from Woburn: Went for a walk last nite around 10pm and it was at our knees and just above in places. Today, we have about 30 inches where it isn't drifting (and it's hard to find a place where it isn't drifting) and about 38 inches in the drifts. It's still snowing pretty hard now at 12:30pm-or maybe it's the wind just blowing it. I'll tell ya, I'm about five feet tall and I was wading in the backyard with the snow up to an inch above the top of my jeans.

Here's something funny: on a whim, I called our company snowline. I had to laugh-try calling it. They are going to try and be open today, and "most likely will be open tomorrow" and the message suggests calling later tonight or tomorrow morning for updates as well. I'll tell ya though, I haven't even attempted shoveling out the car yet but I have a great picture of me wading to it with the snow up to the bottom of the windows of my car.
